【 Useful Daily English phrases ♡ Lesson 4 】

October thirty-first is Halloween in America. Ken was eating his lunch when Judy called him on the telephone.

“Can you come to my Halloween party?” she asked. “Please come wearing a costume of some kind.”

“Of course I’ll be there,” answered Ken. “But you won’t know me when I arrive.”

Halloween evening came at last. When it got dark, Ken put on his costume and went to Judy’s house. He looked like a big white ghost.

Judy was making the final preparations when the first guests arrived. She quickly finished and then went to the door. What a strange sight they all were in their costumes!
